Bill Medill is an accomplished technology executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning enterprise IT, digital transformation, and organisational change across government, education, legal, and community service sectors. Known for revitalising technology functions and driving sustainable improvement, Bill has built a career on elevating team performance, modernising systems, and aligning technology strategy with business outcomes.
Bill currently serves as General Manager, Technology at Churches of Christ in Queensland, where he leads the organisation’s technology function across a large, geographically distributed aged care and community services network. Joining during a period of significant under investment, he has reshaped the technology team, modernised core infrastructure, strengthened cyber security practices, and delivered major cost savings—while repositioning Technology as a trusted business partner.
His previous roles include senior leadership and program management positions such as Associate Director at Exent, Senior Project Manager at Brisbane Catholic Education, and Program Manager for the Toowoomba Catholic Schools digital transformation initiative. Earlier in his career, Bill held key management roles at Shine Lawyers, Griffith University, Seqwater, and multiple local government organisations, leading teams of up to 39 staff and managing multimillion dollar operational and capital budgets.
Bill combines deep technical expertise with strong strategic capability, underpinned by qualifications in Agile, Scrum, TOGAF, ITIL, and a Master of Business Administration from Griffith University, where he received the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence. He specialises in enterprise systems, ERP delivery, service management, IT governance, and organisational transformation, consistently delivering improvements in efficiency, staff engagement, and service quality.
